ITSRG Staff and fellows will be presenting at a paper session today at the AAG annual meeting in Boston. You can catch their paper session entitled "Methods for visualizing intersecting perspectives in urban spaces and places." The session is scheduled at 4:20 PM - 6:00 PM.
This session draws on examples from three urban settings - Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Detroit to consider the intersection of scale and perspective among politically marginalized groups. Methods for improving mutual understanding of perspectives about space and place will be presented across a continuum of concerns related to community well being, including education, economic activity, safety, and health. The aim of these presentations is to critically interrogate our roles as researchers and advocates as intermediaries in communicating space and place perspectives.
